What is collected: Before a training session, if your device supports it and you grant permission, a single measurement lasting about 1.5 seconds is taken using the front TrueDepth sensor. From this measurement the app receives a single number only: the distance in millimetres between your face and the screen.

Why: Viewing distance is required to convert training speed into the unit used in scientific publications (visual angle — degrees per second). If the distance is unknown, the app falls back to a default value and training still works fully.

What is NOT collected: No face image, photo, video, face mesh/geometry, facial-expression coefficients, depth map or biometric template is processed, stored or transmitted off the device. No face recognition or identity verification is performed. The data is never used to identify anyone.

Retention and deletion: Intermediate samples taken during the measurement exist only in device memory for the duration of the measurement and are discarded as soon as it ends. The only thing retained is the distance number written into the training record (e.g. “760 mm”); that number is sent to your coach together with the training results so that measurement units can be reported correctly.

Sharing: Apart from that distance number, no TrueDepth-derived data is transmitted anywhere. It is not shared with third parties, not sold, and not used for advertising. Face data is not stored on any server.

Permission: Camera permission is requested for the measurement. If you decline, training is never blocked; the app continues using a default distance.

This section applies to the Tracia Gaze Bridge app. Gaze Bridge turns your phone’s camera into a gaze (eye-tracking) sensor for the desktop “Tracia Elite” app.

What is collected: With your permission, the app processes camera frames entirely on the device (Apple’s Vision framework) to locate the pupil/iris position and compute a gaze point (screen coordinates x/y). Optionally, the one-time ~1.5-second distance measurement described above may also be taken.

What is NOT collected: No face image, photo, video, face mesh/geometry, facial-expression coefficients or biometric template is stored or transmitted off the device. No face recognition or identity verification is performed. Camera frames are never saved and never leave the device.

What leaves the device: Only the gaze coordinates (x/y) and basic status (frame rate, light level, face found/not found) are streamed over your local Wi‑Fi network only to your own desktop Tracia Elite app. Nothing is sent to the cloud or to any internet server.

Retention and deletion: Camera frames and face-landmark data are processed in real time and discarded immediately; nothing is retained on the device or on any server.

Sharing: Not shared with third parties, not sold, and not used for advertising. There are no analytics or advertising SDKs.

Permission: Camera permission is requested. The app’s only network component is a WebSocket server on your local network.
